Modules

There are four types of modules:

  1. Upgrade Rigging
  2. Mountable Buff/Debuff
  3. Weapon Turret
  4. Harvester Turret

Upgrade Modules

Upgrade rigging modules can be purchased or constructed and permanently integrated into the ship to increase the Specialization and Grade Level of Ships

Mountable Modules

Can be equipped to module hardpoints to tailor ship configuration for missions and modify one or more of the following ship attributes.

  * ShipCargo - How much ship can carry per mission
  * ShipDefense - Amount of damage ship can take
  * ShipManeuvering - Higher maneuverability reduces chance of hit by cannon
  * ShipVelocity - Higher velocity reduces trip time for missions and reduces chance of hit by missiles

ShipDefense provides a particular DefenseType that reduces chance of critical hit against particular DamageTypes. Ships can be equipped with any DefenseType module, however some ships can give additional bonus to a particular DefenseType.

  * Hull is weak to all weapon types
  * Armor is strong against Cannons, average against Missiles, weak against Lasers
  * Shield is strong against Lasers, average against Missiles, weak against Cannons

Weapon Turrets

Weapon Turrets are special modules that equip to turret hardpoints and add attack capability to the ship.

  * TurretDamage - Damage output for weapons
  * TurretRange - Longer range determines who shoots first
  * TurretTargeting - Higher targeting increases chance of hit for Lasers and Cannons

Ships can be equipped with any TurretType, however some ships can give additional bonus to a particular TurretType.

  * Lasers - Heat damage, higher critical damage chance, lower range, best hit chance within range
  * Missiles - Explosive damage, AoE increases hit chance, hit chance reduced by target ship's velocity
  * Cannons - Kinetic damage, longer range, hit chance reduced by target ship's maneuvering

Harvester Turrets

Harvester turrets are special modules that equip to turret hardpoints and provide capability mine or collect resources such as ore, ice, solar energy, plasma, quantum particles, etc

  * TurretCycleTime - Lower cycle time reduces amount of time needed to fill cargo
  * TurretYield - Yield for resource harvesters, how much retrieved per cycle
